Terms of use and sale of Miel.mu

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Miel.mu website and placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions of use and sale. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our site. Ruchers de l'Est reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on the site.
2. Products and Pricing
All prices displayed on Miel.mu are in Mauritian Rupees (MUR) and include all applicable taxes. Prices may be changed at any time without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is the one displayed at the time of order validation.
We strive to present accurate descriptions and photographs of our products. However, minor variations in colour or texture may occur due to the artisanal nature of our honeys.
3. Orders and Payment
Every order placed on Miel.mu constitutes a sales contract between you and Ruchers de l'Est. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for legitimate reasons (product unavailable, pricing error, suspected fraud).
Accepted payment methods are:
- Juice — Mobile payment
- Cash on Delivery (COD) — Cash payment upon receipt of your order
- MIPS — Mauritius Interbank Payment System
4. Delivery
Deliveries are handled by our partner Fretolia across the entire Mauritian territory. Estimated delivery times are communicated at the time of ordering and are provided for indicative purposes. Ruchers de l'Est cannot be held responsible for delivery delays caused by events beyond our control (adverse weather, public holidays, strikes). Delivery fees are calculated based on order weight and delivery zone, and are displayed before order validation.
5. Jar Recall Programme
The jar recall programme allows customers to return their empty Miel.mu jars in exchange for a discount on their next order. Jars must be clean, intact and bear the Miel.mu branding. The discount amount is determined by the number and size of jars returned, and is specified on our website. Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions unless otherwise stated. Ruchers de l'Est reserves the right to modify or terminate this programme at any time.
6. Beehive Sponsorship
The beehive sponsorship programme allows individuals and businesses to contribute to the preservation of Mauritian bees. Sponsorship is a fixed-term donation. The sponsor receives regular updates on their hive and specific benefits described on the dedicated page of the site. Sponsorship does not confer any ownership rights over the hive or honey production. Contributions are non-refundable. Ruchers de l'Est manages the hives according to best beekeeping practices and does not guarantee a specific production volume.
7. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our products, returns are only accepted if the product is defective, damaged during delivery or does not match the order. Any claim must be made within 7 days of receipt. Please refer to our refund policy for full details.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Miel.mu website (texts, images, logos, trademarks, graphics, software) is the exclusive property of Ruchers de l'Est or its partners and is protected by Mauritian and international intellectual property laws. Any unauthorised reproduction, distribution or use is strictly prohibited.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Mauritian law, Ruchers de l'Est shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of the site or the purchase of our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of the order in question.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Mauritian courts.
